Aparte de los innumerables espectáculos que vi en el festival de Edimburgo (del que hablaré en otro momento), también hubo otros que quise ver y no pude. Éste es el caso de Les doigts de l'homme, un grupo francés que participaba en el Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival (sí, amigos, otro de los festivales que coincidían en la ciudad).
El programa del festival decía esto de ellos:
From Lyon, this band are rocking the gypsy jazz tradition into a new direction, without chucking away the core values of swing and fiery guitar solos. They are three guitar players and a bassist with rock sensibilities to go with their Django roots. Their strength is in the force of their collective personality, a vision of Manouche music in a contemporary world, and a musicianship to deliver it with huge impact, passion and spirit.
El segundo día de clase organice un grupo para ir a verlos pero, bad luck!!, todas las entradas vendidas.
